Unintended Visitor

I didn't know this wren had come through the open door, so he spent a night and a day inside the house. Doing just fine now, though.
"The birds can fly an' why can't I?
Must we give in," says he with a grin,
Doos the little chatterin', sassy wren,
No bigger'n my thumb, know more than men?
